Pillion (2025)
This movie was uncomfortable, and not in a bad way. It's a love story with a lot of heart that challenges the viewer quite a bit. It explored BDSM LGBTQ+ relationships in a way that I've never seen before – largely because its something I'm wholly unfamiliar with. Ray, portrayed by Skarsgård, is a frustrating character. He struggles to open up in any meaningful way with Colin (portrayed by Harry Melling). However, upon reflection, it seemed unimportant. Ray exists to help Colin develop. This is a love story about learning to love yourself, be confident, and setting boundaries. Loved it.

One Battle After Another (2025)
This review may contain spoilers. "One Battle After Another" is tense from start to finish. Amazing performances from Leo, Benicio, and Sean Penn, who is horrifying and deplorable as ever. However, the opening scenes and awful Jezebel stereotyping/tropes made it difficult to enjoy the rest of the film as much as I could have. I spent most of the watch pondering why Perfidia was portrayed and written the way she was. Perhaps I need a rewatch or to sit with those feelings more.

Wicked: For Good (2025)
Largely a snooze fest compared to part one. Really weird pacing issues, hard to track timeline, and no songs that reach the heights of 'Defying Gravity' and 'Popular'. Meh.

Nobody 2 (2025)
Stupider than the first one. But, still a fun action movie. Just shut your brain off and don’t expect anything other than cool action shots.

Nosferatu (2024)
Bonkers movie. Soundtrack, costume design, set design all add up to an incredibly immersive gothic nightmare. So many shots like are a dark fantasy painting. Loved it.

Weapons (2025)
This review may contain spoilers. What a blast this movie was. The story was told in a way that kept it engaging most of the way through. I could have had about 30 minutes cut off (why does EVERYTHING need to be 2+ hours now?). The movie delivered in the same insane way Barbarian did before it. Thoroughly enjoyed start to finish.
